These general terms and conditions of sale (hereinafter the “Conditions”) govern registrations for the Lap·On·Ice event. They apply to any registration, including any additional services ordered. The Participant is invited to read them before registering.
The purpose of these Conditions is to define the terms of registration and participation in Lap·On·Ice, as well as the respective rights and obligations of the Participant and the Organiser.
Any registration implies the Participant’s full and unreserved acceptance of these Conditions. By registering for Lap·On·Ice or taking part in it, the Participant declares that they have read and accept them without reservation.
Any registration, defined as registration for Lap·On·Ice, including any additional services ordered (activities and complementary services), is carried out on the dedicated registration platform: laponice.fr/reserver-ma-place.
The Participant is invited to enter their details and pay a deposit. Registration is deemed complete and becomes firm and final upon the registration confirmation sent by email to the address provided by the Participant, and is thereupon subject to these Conditions.
Three packages are available to take part in Lap·On·Ice:
mci group France is registered in the register of travel and holiday operators under number IM075110095. The sale of this travel package is governed by Articles L.211-1 et seq. and R.211-3 to R.211-11 of the French Tourism Code. The Organiser holds financial protection (APS) and professional liability insurance. The standardised information form provided for by the Tourism Code is given to the Participant before the contract is concluded.

The accepted means of payment are as follows:

All payments must be made in euros (EUR). No discount will be granted for early payment. Please indicate the participant’s name and the reference “LOI 2027” for all payments (for example: LOI2027 - Dupont). All bank charges are to be borne by the party making the payment. As soon as registration is completed, the Participant receives an invoice corresponding to their bookings.
Payment is staggered as follows: a deposit of €250 is paid upon pre-registration; then 30% to validate the registration, less the deposit; a further 30% before 15 October 2026 and the balance before 15 December 2026. The full amount due must reach mci group France before 15 December 2026, by bank transfer or bank card. Failing payment in full by the due dates, the Organiser is not required to validate the Participant’s registration.
For any modification and/or any new registration made on site, the Participant must pay the full amount due directly (in cash or by bank card).
Cancellations and/or modifications of the registration, defined as registration for Lap·On·Ice, including any additional services ordered, must be submitted by email to mci group France: contact@laponice.fr.
It is the Participant’s responsibility to take out, by their own means and directly with the insurer of their choice, cancellation insurance. The Organiser does not offer, broker or manage any insurance on the Participant’s behalf.
The refund conditions applicable in the event of cancellation by the Participant are as follows, applied automatically, without case-by-case handling:
Registration commits the Participant firmly and definitively. In the event of cancellation, for whatever reason, all costs that the Organiser has already irrevocably incurred on the Participant’s behalf — in particular issued airline tickets, accommodation and ice races booked — remain due and are not refunded. Where such costs have been incurred, the Participant remains liable for the full price of their package, including amounts not yet paid as at the date of cancellation.
Up to and including 15 July 2026: The participant may cancel their registration. 50% of the amounts paid will be refunded, less administrative fees and the costs irrevocably incurred by the Organiser on their behalf (in particular issued airline tickets, accommodation booked or services already ordered).
From 16 July 2026: No refund may be granted. The participant remains liable for the full amount of their package, including any amounts still due as at the date of cancellation.
It is strongly recommended to take out cancellation, assistance and repatriation insurance, by one’s own means and with the insurer of one’s choice.
In accordance with Article L.211-14 of the French Tourism Code, the Participant may terminate the contract before the start of the package subject to the standardised termination fees indicated above. In the event of exceptional and unavoidable circumstances occurring at the place of destination or its immediate vicinity and significantly affecting the performance of the package, the Participant may terminate the contract free of charge and obtain a full refund of the payments made, to the exclusion of any additional compensation.
The transfer of a registration to a third party is permitted, subject to the prior agreement of the Organiser and to feasibility with the relevant providers. Any modification fees — in particular name-change fees on airline tickets, where authorised by the airline — are borne entirely by the Participant. Airline tickets already issued and non-modifiable by the airline remain due and are non-refundable. The Participant who transfers their registration remains required to inform the beneficiary of these Conditions. The beneficiary participates under their own responsibility and the Organiser is released from any liability in the event of an accident concerning them.
In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the provision of leisure activity services which are to be provided on a specific date or at a specific frequency. As Lap·On·Ice constitutes a leisure activity provided on a specific date (from 10 to 14 February 2027), the Customer, whether a consumer or a professional, has no right of withdrawal in respect of their registration.
Except in the case referred to in Article 5 above, no refund of registration fees will be made in the event of absence, lateness, partial participation or withdrawal, for whatever reason. The same applies in the event of inability to take part in Lap·On·Ice, whatever the reason given.
Any personal impediment of the Participant — in particular illness, accident, death of a relative, professional or family constraint — falls exclusively within the scope of the insurance that it is their responsibility to take out under Article 11. The Participant asserts their rights directly with their insurer, the Organiser handling no refund request in this respect and assessing no individual situation. The Participant’s only rights vis-à-vis the Organiser are those provided for in Article 5 and those resulting mandatorily from the Tourism Code.
The availability of products and services is normally guaranteed. In the event that, after the order, a product or service becomes wholly or partly unavailable, the Organiser will notify the Participant of this unavailability as soon as possible and will give them the option either of being provided with another product or service of equivalent quality and price, or of being refunded the price of the product or service ordered within 30 (thirty) days following the refund request.
As Lap·On·Ice is a competitive ice-skating sporting event, participation is subject to the Participant providing a medical certificate of no contraindication to the practice of competitive ice skating, dated less than one year before the day of the event, or, failing that, a sworn statement of fitness. Failing production of this supporting document, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse participation, without refund or compensation.
The Participant undertakes to comply with the safety instructions and the instructions of the Organiser, the officials and the supervising staff, and to present themselves in a physical condition compatible with sporting practice, excluding in particular any state of alcoholic intoxication or the taking of substances affecting alertness. The Organiser reserves the right to exclude, without refund or compensation, any Participant whose behaviour would compromise their own safety, that of other participants or the smooth running of the event.
The Participant acknowledges that competitive ice skating involves inherent risks, in particular falls, collisions, injuries and exposure to the cold. They declare that they take part in Lap·On·Ice in full knowledge of these risks and under their own responsibility. The Organiser cannot be held liable for bodily or material damage resulting from the practice of the activity, save for fault directly attributable to it.
Registration and/or admission to Lap·On·Ice are reserved for participants aged 16 or over. Minor participants (aged 16 to 18) must be accompanied by a legal guardian. The registration of a minor participant is carried out by their legal representative, who provides written parental authorisation and acknowledges being bound by these Conditions.
Any registration by a person under the age of 16 is not authorised and constitutes a breach of these Conditions, automatically entailing cancellation of the registration. The Participant agrees to provide their passport to Lap·On·Ice staff on request.
By registering for Lap·On·Ice or taking part in it, the Participant declares and warrants that they are aged 16 or over and accept all of these Conditions.
Participants are advised to take out adequate insurance cover for their trip (health, accident, repatriation, cancellation, theft…) before departure. mci group France, as organiser, bears no liability in the event of an accident caused or brought about by participants and accompanying persons during or following Lap·On·Ice, nor during any of the events organised around it. However, in accordance with Article L.211-16 of the French Tourism Code, the Organiser is responsible for the proper performance of the package and remains liable for damage resulting from a fault attributable to it.
The Organiser’s liability cannot be engaged where the non-performance of its obligations is attributable either to the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party to the contract, or to a case of force majeure as defined by Article 1218 of the French Civil Code and by French case law.
In the event of force majeure, natural disaster or any other circumstance endangering the safety of competitors, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel or neutralise one or more races, without competitors being able to claim any refund, subject to the rights the Participant holds under Articles L.211-14 and L.211-16 of the French Tourism Code.
In the event of cancellation or postponement by the Organiser following an epidemic, a pandemic, sanitary conditions (including the related restriction measures) or any circumstantial incident making it impossible or very difficult to hold the sporting events, the Organiser will offer registered participants, at its choice: postponement of the event, substitution with another edition, or a refund (full or partial, depending on the date of cancellation), where applicable reduced by administrative fees and costs already incurred.
During Lap·On·Ice 2027, the teams will carry out photographic, video and audio recordings. This material will be used in newsletters and other promotional media of Lap·On·Ice, in printed, electronic or other form, including the website. By taking part in Lap·On·Ice, the Participant authorises the Organiser to use, for educational or promotional purposes, in its publications (printed materials, website or any other medium), their photograph, their image or audio/video recordings of them, in whole or in part, for a period of five (5) years from the event.
The Organiser undertakes not to use the recording of the Participant’s image for purposes other than those provided for above, and in any case if they were liable to undermine their dignity, reputation or privacy or to constitute any other harmful use under the laws and regulations in force. The recording may not give rise to any remuneration or consideration in any form whatsoever.
The Organiser, as data controller, implements processing of personal data of image (face, appearance, silhouette) and of sound (voice) for the purposes of managing its communication, including in particular the retention of this authorisation as well as of the image recording. The data will be kept for a period of 5 years after Lap·On·Ice.
The Organiser and all the persons concerned are released from any liability related to the recording, digitisation or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images and audio/video extracts. A Participant who does not wish to be photographed or video-recorded is invited to inform the persons in charge of the recordings.
For any information relating to the protection of personal data and to the exercise of rights, the Participant is invited to consult Article 14 “Management of personal data”.
The personal data collected from Participants is processed by the Organiser, as data controller, for the purposes of managing registrations for Lap·On·Ice, on the basis of the performance of a contract or of pre-contractual measures within the meaning of Article 6.1.b of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The data collected is essential for the proper processing of the order and is intended for the authorised staff of the Organiser as well as its subcontractors. It will be kept for the time necessary to achieve the aforementioned purpose, plus an additional period allowing the Organiser to comply with its legal and accounting obligations.
In accordance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 as amended, the Participant has, for this processing, rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability of the data concerning them, as well as a right to restrict processing. These rights may be exercised with the Organiser at the address contact@laponice.fr.
These Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute relating to their interpretation or performance, the Participant will first contact the Organiser in order to seek an amicable solution, in writing at the address contact@laponice.fr.
In accordance with Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the consumer may have recourse, free of charge, to the Tourism and Travel Ombudsman (MTV — BP 80 303, 75823 Paris Cedex 17, www.mtv.travel) with a view to the amicable resolution of a dispute with the Organiser, within one year of their written complaint. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute will be brought before the competent courts under the conditions of ordinary law.
