The Solidarity Adventure

Discover
LAP·ON·ICE

A natural-ice skating challenge in the heart of the Far North, where sporting performance serves a cause that goes beyond competition.

Over three days, participants skate across the frozen expanses of Lake Inari, in Finnish Lapland, beyond the Arctic Circle. Lap On Ice is also a solidarity adventure: each participant can represent a charity and rally their network to raise funds.

The winners will see their performance rewarded with a donation given to the charity they support. Failing that, it will be allocated to Premiers de Cordée.

How it works

Three simple steps to take part in the solidarity adventure

01

Choose your charity

When you register, choose the charity you wish to represent and that will accompany you throughout the Lap On Ice adventure.

02

Skate & push your limits

Solo or in pairs, take on the challenge across the frozen expanses of Lake Inari — two morning stages and a third at night, on an illuminated track.

03

Victory for everyone's benefit

Winners without a partner charity have their donation given in full to Premiers de Cordée, for hospitalised children.

The charity supporting the challenge

Founded in 1999 · Recognised as a public-interest organisation
27 years of action
100% free
10 000 children helped

A national charity sponsored by Kylian Mbappé and chaired by Nathalie Péchalat. Recognised as a public-interest organisation, it works in hospitals, clinics and medical-educational institutes across France.

Premiers de Cordée regularly offers free sports introductions to hospitalised children and children with disabilities, directly within care facilities — for ages 3 to 18, across all conditions.

Each session, led by qualified sports instructors, gives sick children a moment of escape and social connection, breaking the isolation of hospitalisation. A concrete, human and entirely free initiative.

The charity also organises the Sport at Hospital Week and the Escape Day, two annual events that allow thousands of children to enjoy exceptional sporting and festive experiences.

The solidarity donation

When victory goes beyond the podium

Without a partner charity,
the donation goes to Premiers de Cordée

If the winning participants of Lap On Ice are not supported by a charity during the event, the entirety of their donation is given directly to Premiers de Cordée.

These funds finance free sports sessions for hospitalised children across France. Each victory thus becomes a concrete act of generosity.

Racing alone in the Far North is already a remarkable feat. Knowing that this victory can change the life of a sick child, is what makes Lap On Ice unique.
